I begin each piece with an idea and gather photos and video pictures. Sometimes the idea I begin with has no similarity to the final sculpture.

Once I create a new piece I then make a mold and produce several artists proofs to ensure that any imperfections have been spotted and corrected. Once the sculpture itself is ready the painting process begins. My wife Rosalind is very patient as I try several ideas out for shade and tone and the all important eye position for the expression.

Once we're happy with the finished painted sculpture several copies are sent to the artisans that produce the samples. I work closely with them to ensure the quality and details of the original are reproduced accurately.
